Gold Traders: How are you doing in these last several weeks of volatility?

I am a metals trader and I want to know how some of you other metals (especially gold) traders are faring during this last several weeks of rollercoaster gold wild ride? From a high this summer of 1900 to today's current level of about 1570 and back and forth! Wow, what a ride these last few months! Has anyone made or lost big? Are you holding on? What is your stragety for gold during times like these.. Now a strong dollar agains euro drives gold down but will it become safe haven again and bounce? What do you think?

Before I trade gold but not not anymore. Although I did not trade gold at the moment, I frequently see the price movement of gold. From the gold graph, now is the time of buying because from what I see is the downtrend is already end for this month and the price will go up again at least until the end of December. it is only my opinoin. It may go the other way. Hope you will do the analysis correctly and gain alot fron the gold.

Thanks, yes I see the price also going up but it could also continue it's correction to around 1500.. One thing is hedging is a must when there are such wide swings in the price but a lot of profit is possible! Best luck to all gold traders! The danger and volatility certainly do not make it boring!

Awesome post! I think this week market gone up. I am start gold buy in the last month. Any one have any important news about gold market please shares with us.

although the trend of gold always go but we should be able to find a suitable place to open a position because if we are wrong and determines the passive especially when prices retrace a performer mala experts believe we will easily get a margin call

Thanks! Gold is certainly a profit gainer! It's very volatile but if you are good at using the hedge and have a fair amount of capitol, it's very possible to make good money very quickly! Gold COULD re-correct to 1490 - 1500 yet.. as there is not much support, however demand seems up via news I follow and next year seems promising for gold as many contract holders have taken delivery. I would not be surprised to see 2000 gold in Jan.

I think the gold will fly again and this time will beat 2000 but the time or the duration i dont know about it .

well I made some good profits from the breakout trading from 1620 - 1570. I don't trade gold much though but this signal was also recommended by a friend so I took it.

gold market is very volatile. i think in this ranging market we can trade with tight stop loss. in future it may correct to 1500$ or may go to 2000$ in January. so careful in trading gold.

Personally I would not mind seeing a big move on gold. Of course we need to be very cautious but I find it more exciting to trade than most of the pairs. Practice hedging on a demo to try new strategy using large lots for big profit when there is heavy trading.

I am not trading Gold for last six months because of the high spread of gold with insta forex. I have been trading gold with my previous broker but i am watching the developments of gold prices. Very good moves were there in fact in previous few months.
