I think these patterns are mostly of stock market. In forex market, most of them are not even known or used or even needed. Many of the patterns are also not formed much or at all in some of the pairs. The powerful candlesticks patterns commonly seen in forex like hammer, engulfing, shooting star, morning & evening star and some others are all that is needed for candlesticks.

you are correct, I think candlestick itself not really realiable when we trade in small time frame. We really need a trading system and maybe adding by other tools like indicator or just a Support and Resistance. When we trade in the correct way candlestick will help a lot in entry position.

in past i was using the line chart only and i did not know any think about other charts but when i knew about the CANDLE STICK charts and its benefits i have used it till now because of its simplicity ,it easy to deal with and there are many strategies that depend on these candles

to indicate that the opening was lower than the closing, the body of the bar is left blank. in its original form, the body was colored red. the current standard electronic displays allow you to keep it blank or select a color of your choice.

well i don't have anything to do with candle sticks, all i trade is the movement of the trend, so i don't really have anything to say about candles stick but i really have a friend that trades just candle stick

with the passing time i have realized the candlesticks are definitely the good tool to predict the trend..the are complex to know initially but after a while with practice u get going at easy to predict the pattern i feel...

at the same point i missed to ask the experienced guys one question on the basis of their experience and the question is where are the candle sticks are more effective in short term 5 minutes chart or in long term 4 hours or day chart...i am using it in short term for now.

ryan u need to study them deeply and with practice u will not have any confusion..but read from basics and learn all types of candles don't leave a single candle pattern.u may skip group pattern but individual candles u must learn all.

overly confident too bad. My experience when the order was floating minus still let the situation lasts longer and removed the option SL I have been using previously. I feel confident that the market will bounce directions in accordance with my predictions on the grounds that I did not close my orders. MC was very disappointing result can not be avoided.
