Market pros expect the Fed to cut rates by a quarter point Wednesday afternoon and leave the door open to a further move, but President Trump has been calling for a “large” cut.
“This is a high wire act. When it comes to communications, that is the hardest part. They want to do more, but they don’t know when and how much further they want to go,” said one economist.
