The Australian Industry Group Australian Performance of Manufacturing Index (Australian PMI®) rose1.9 points back into expansion at 51.3 points in July (seasonally adjusted),after falling into contraction in June for the first time in almost three years. Results above 50 points indicate expansion with higher results indicating a stronger expansion in the month.The performance gap between the expanding and contracting manufacturing sectors has grown in recent months.
