Yeah, you are right. I think they were particularly active in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. I remember those expensive seminar ads we used to see for IFX seminars in Marina Bay Sands Singapore. That place is so expensive and they would often organize their seminars in such hotels. People and analysts from different countries used to visit to attend these.

I am not exactly sure but I think they still conduct such seminars for new and existing clients in South East Asia. IFX is very famous there as it used to be back in the past I think. I believe they have grown up too over the past few years with this forum and the other regional forums like the Indonesian one and Malaysian one etc.

I think its because of the initial hard work they did in that area that they still are famous there. Making a reputation takes a lot of time, effort and resources and they channelled their resources there very effectively. They attracted a huge loyal client base and that's why I think they are still well known over there. Constant investment and improvement in that market would have helped them in their growth there.

Yeah you are right. Making a reputation takes a lot of years of non-stop hard work. It needs constant effort and keeping up with all the constant challenges that arise in the meantime. I think that's what was managed effectively by IFX initially which has helped them grow in South East Asian region specifically.

I remember one quote from Warren Buffett on building reputation. He once said that Building trust and reputation takes 20 years and losing it just needs 5 minutes because even a single mistake can completely demolish the trust one has gained while working for years. That's why, its very important to maintain that.
