16:00 WIB: Flash Estimate Consumer Price Index (CPI) data for the Euro region in August 2019 (medium-high impact on EUR).
EuroI CPI is released twice a month, namely Flash (preliminary data) and Final. The estimated inflation rate was released by Eurostat based on preliminary CPI data input from 19 member countries of the Euro area. Although there may be a lack of detail in the category of goods as a reference, Flash Estimate is still considered to have a high impact because it is the earliest Euro area CPI data released.

From the measurement period, the high-impact data is annual inflation, which is the percentage change compared to the same month in the previous year (year over year or y / y). While from the category of goods measured, there are 2 releases that are considered, namely the core CPI (Core CPI) and the total CPI. Core CPI does not take into account the categories of food, beverage and energy goods.

For the Euro area, CPI data with high impact is total CPI y / y because it shows the annual rate of inflation in the region. The European Central Bank (ECB) always refers to the total CPI y / y to determine inflation targets and changes in interest rates.
