University of Michigan (UoM) index of US consumer confidence in August 2019 (Final) (medium impact on the USD).
Data released by the University of Michigan (UoM) every month last Friday measures consumer confidence in business and financial conditions in the US. The UoM consumer confidence index is one that investors always pay attention to besides the Conference Board (CB) Consumer Confidence index.

This index is based on a survey of 500 consumers regarding the current state of the US economy and the future. Index figures are released in 2 versions with an interval of 2 weeks, namely Preliminary and Final (revised). Preliminary indexes are released early so they tend to have more impact. But if the Final release revised far from the Preliminary figures, then the data will have a high impact as well.
