Default [Overview] How to achieve work_life balance as a trader?

5 ways to work on your work_life balance:

Lack of balance between your professional life and your personal life is likely to lead to burn out ,loss of morale, unhappiness, high stress levels and reduced productivity,
Here are simple ways you can take to restore and maintain a healthy life_work balance as s trader.

      1.prioritize

What you want most in life? It cant be just more money, there must be a reason you want that much money.
Find out what you real underlying priorities in life are and list them from the most important to the least , once you have figured out, the rest should be easy

      2 .Track time

We all have 24 hours in our day,the only difference is how each of us utilize that limited amount of time.

Track your time for a week or two to find out how you really use your time. Critically analyze the results and remove those activities that dont align with your priorities.
Increase and decrease time spent on different activities to align them to your life goals and ambitions.

      3. Protect your schedule

It is very difficult to get a dedicated trader away from a great trade setup unless you have a dire emergency, like someone in the neighbourhood just got shot and needs your help.
That kind of focus is good for your trade, but this should be replicated with time set for other things. Make a decision not to let any trading emergencies disrupt your personal and family time.

      4.Take care

Some personal habits in a trader's life make it difficult to achieve a proper life work balance . For instance, persistent insomnia and poor nutrition will disrupt your life patterns and even put your long term health at risk.
Eat well, take enough fluids, exercise regularly, and enough rest each day.

      5.Find a mentor

In your social or professional circle there might be an individual who always seems to have it all . That person seems to have a career that is always on an upward move coupled with a terrific personal life that everyone admires.

If there is one such person in your life, engage him or her to help you find a similar work_life harmonious balance in your own life.

Time is a very important factor in the life of man, from the daily time to weekly and the whole year how you manage your time is key to living a good and healthy life, people go to work and close so that they can have time for their families and also have time to rest and to do other things, for Forex trader many times we do not even keep track of time,we trade all day long and before you know it, its already night fall and some traders are still sitting in front of their computers looking at the market, that the market is open for twenty fours does not necessarily means we have to trade the whole of the day, even if you trade long term, set your stop loss and take profits and leave so that you can enjoy your life with your family

Forex market is opened for 24 hours and this can gives us the chance to achieve work-life balance, because shouldn't work in the Forex market all the time, but we should choose the best times which can be suitable to our trading strategy and our trading method, and there are three main sessions in the Forex market which are the Asian session, London Session, and New York Session, and we can choose the best session which can be suitable to our trading method in order to save our time, where in the Asian session we can take a rest from the market and we can spend this time with our family to achieve work-life balance, and we can start the trading only during London and New York session, and we shouldn't trade all time of those two sessions, but we should trade until we achieve our daily target, then we can exit from the market, and this will give us the time to achieve work-life balance, because the trading on the necessary times only can save the time to us.

Being able to balance your life outside trading with trading is one of the most difficult things traders are going through. Unless you are not a day trader. If you are a long term trader you may not have issue with this. But 90% of day traders are having problem with other sector of their life because of negligence in those area. Trading is very demanding and time consuming, one must find a Way to balance the equation. I think how to start is to have a daily routine timetable. Put a time peg on your trading hours. Be able to state in a clear term when to trade and when not to trade. I know it will be difficult at first, but if you continue trying, you will find it easy to comply as time goes on.

achieving the work-life balance as a forex trader is very important and a thing that every forex trader should work on. the forex trading business is an all-round the clock business since it is open 24 hours a day and for 5 days a week. hence every trader has long periods available at which to tackle the market and earn good money. but while trading and making plans to make money one should not forget about his health. health is wealth; they say. it then becomes very important for every trader to work without putting himself in serious stress. one way traders have used successfully to stay out of stress is applying good money and risk managements in their trading.

It is very important for every trader to achieve work/life balance because this what will make the trading enjoyable and full of fulfillment. Considering the fact that one is likely to be engrossed in trading with the aim of making money there is every probability that one would get stressed up and if not well taken care of it is going to affect one's health. For this reason there is always a need to set priority over all activities in terms of time for analysis, time for trading and time for food, time for sleep and time for relaxation. In summary it is good to bear in mind that whenever there is huge success or the other way round relaxation and meditation are of utmost importance

That looks good if people who start this as a beginner can take the learning as their first agenda and invest their time to practice instead of forcing themselves to earn with no knowledge and experience. Knowing that these 5 important points of your thread should be very helpful to guide others who are currently struggling to learn how to do this business right and able to resolve their mistakes without making things even worse. At least, beginners can overcome their difficulties better and faster compared to old traders who have done bad things earlier and sacrificed a lot in time and money before they earned knowledge and experience in return.

I think that finding a mentor is a top priority to solve every beginner's problem earlier without risking a lot of money to waste on making random trades with real accounts. Hiring a tutor may indeed cost some money but if people are willing to sacrifice something at the beginning for a good cause, soon they will get better in exchange as they can avoid themselves from making unnecessary trades since they have been taught earlier by their mentors and advance to the next level of learning and practicing without experiencing a lot of complexities such as emotional trades or losses to the market.

While it is important to be a dedicated forex trader, it is also very important to practice a good work life balance. Work life balance is the process of giving adequate time and resources for both work and lifestyle. It has to do with an efficient strategic planning out of routine operation to better career and lifestyle. When you’re in a complex business like forex, you might get overwhelmed by the day to day activities of the market, but that shouldn’t make you ignore your health. Aside from the risk you get from money, you’re also liable to both physical and emotional risk. To take care of these risks, you need to apply work life balance and keep growing your career while you live an healthy lifestyle.

Work can be fun and exciting, giving you a warm feeling and a very good reason to cheerfully wake up each morning.

Nonetheless, no matter how fun your work is, you need to have some time off to work on your personal life.

This applies not only to office workers and employees, but also to forex traders. Lack of balance between your professional life and your personal life is likely to lead to burn out, loss of morale, unhappiness, high stress levels, and reduced productivity.

Here are simple steps you can take to restore and maintain a healthy life-work balance as a trader.

How to Achieve Work-Life Balance as a Trader
      1. Prioritize

What do you want most in life? It can’t be just “more money”, there must be a reason you want that much money.

Find out what your real underlying priorities in life are and list them from the most important to the least. Once you have that figured out, the rest should be easy.

      2. Track Time

We all have 24 hours in our day, the only difference is how each of us utilizes that limited amount of time.

Track your time for a week or two to find out how you really use your time. Critically analyze the results and remove those activities that do not align with your priorities.

Increase and decrease time spent on different activities to align them to your life goals and ambitions.

If your family is important to you, then setting aside an hour before dinner to bond with them should be a priority over sketching stochastic oscillators. Learn to delegate what you cannot eliminate.

      3. Quit Multi-Tasking

Having a conversation with your wife as you hurriedly type on your computer may seem like you getting the best of both worlds simultaneously. While multi-tasking is touted as strength, it usually frays relations.

Your loved ones feel left out or unimportant when you give them undivided attention. Even if you do not have family, choose to only do one thing at a time. Rest when it is time to rest and work when it is time to work.

      4. Schedule Some “You” Time

Moving between work and other social and family activities can prove hectic. It may also get very stressful over time.

To counteract this stress pile up, schedule an hour each day for an activity you enjoy doing on your own.

Whether it’s shopping, a walk on the beach, watching the sunset from your rooftop, or whatever it is you feel calms your nerves and clears your thoughts.
