The day when the automobile was invented for the very first time, a race had been started in the world-famous automakers to produce the fastest car, this was only happening through documentation during the 1940s. The year 1980 was the revolutionary year in the automobile industry, it brought the breakthrough by inventing a fastest the car who broke the earliest record of 200-mph. This barrier was broken in the 1980s. After that, every automobile industry started to work on this and another record was broke in 2005 when they invent the car breaking the 250-mph record. It was the first car breaking 250-mph.

Similarly, every year records were made and the next year they were broke by some other industry but in 2019, Bugatti did some magical invention they broke the barrier of 300-mph by inventing the car named "Chiron". Now, in 2020 this record is again being threatened by three other automakers, a new car Tuatara by SSC, they said this car is supposed to hit even more than 300-mph. While on the other hand another fastest car is in progress named "Venom F5". Their automakers said that this car is capable of at least 310-mph.

Finally, Jesko Absolute is supposed to hit more than 330-mph. All these new cars are under progress and only documentation process is going through this time, some of them said that they have designed each and everything and the only implementation is pending upon confirmations. They can take some time in their production and it will also take time to break already existing records, until this happens there is a list of top 10 fastest cars in the world till 2019. These cars are:

Bugatti Chiron Super Sport 300-304mph+

Bugatti is famous for making and breaking records. The Bugatti Chiron is the fastest car in the world till now, having a top speed of 261-mph, here is a twist there is a French firm that wanted to overcome this speed too so, they have created even more beast engine. Bugatti bought an even more powerful engine from Centodieci which is responsible for adding greater gear ratios to the gearbox. Car's length was also increased by 10-inches and after modifying the new car hit a speed of 304.7 mph on august 2. This car is capable of validating the record with Guinness world records.

The Agera Rs 278-mph:

It was the most powerful version of Agera named "Agera Rs" which was considered as the world's fastest car in November 2017 when it hit the top speed of 278-mph. Its speed record did not last for much time and broke in less than 2 years but still, Agera RS is the winner of many benchmarks, which includes speed from 0 to 200-mph and then braking to 0. This car was limited to 25 examples and they did not build any limited edition model to celebrate their record like Bugatti.

The Venom GT:

This car was first introduced in 2011 but its complete production took so much time and completed in 2017. Although, they have tested the card for so many times its highest speed was recorded in 2014 which was 270.4-mph in Florida. This speed was the highest then the existing world record at that time, but it was unable to qualify for the Guinness world record because it ran in a single direction and also they pointed out for their limited production of only 13 cars which was against the rules.

The Bugatti Veyron:

Again, the second-fastest car by the Bugatti in the list of top cars is Bugatti Veyron. The Bugatti Veyron is five years old as of 2020 but it is still the fastest car ever built in history. The Bugatti Veyron set a record and comes in fourth place in 2010 by hitting a speed of 267.8-mph. The Bugatti to celebrate their record set a special run of 30 cars but their speed was limited to 258-mph for the protection of tires.

The Bugatti Chiron:

The Bugatti Chiron selected this car for the top car list out of four Bugatti's. It was built to replace the Bugatti Veyron in the year 2016; it had a W-16 engine and 1,180 pound-feet of torque. Its actual speed was limited to 261-mph which if you observe is less than the speed of Bugatti Veyron. We know that Chiron supersport has the highest speed of 300-mph therefore, we know there is a bundle of abilities in it. The Bugatti Brand is always famous for producing such luxurious and record-breaking cars every year and who knows if a new record-breaking car is on the waiting list for launching in 2021.

The Agera R:

The Agera Rs can be the fastest car of its type but this car Agera R is not coming slowly. It was produced between the years 2011-2014. This car has a V-8 engine and 885 pound-feet of torque. There was a Swedish firm that was using this car to make many records for car production in 2011 but these records were broken when Agera Rs was launched, this car did not set a record for top speed but its speed was similar to Bugatti Veyron which was 260-mph.

The SSC Ultimate Aero:

The next fastest car on the list is the Ultimate Aero. Now, this was the car that stole the record of the highest speed from Bugatti Veyron. Before Bugatti Veyron sport came to take revenge SSC has already set the record in 2007. The highest speed of this car was 256.2-mph and its record lasted for three years till 2010. This car due to some reasons was discontinued in 2013 but SSC from that time is working to produce the fastest car in the world. SSC claims to hit the speed of 330-mph by their new car Tuatara.

The McLaren Speed tail:

Till now we've only seen two brands in the list of top fastest cars which are Bugatti and Agera. This car is one of the newest cars on our list named McLaren Speed tail. It was introduced in 2019. McLaren said that this car will hit a speed of 250-mph and it’s the fastest car of McLaren company yet.
