I propose in this thread to describe about the Mysterious and mystical places on earth that you would advise to visit.

The profession of architect is very old, because the first houses appeared many thousands of years ago. Throughout the history of civilization, a huge number of amazing buildings, castles and palaces, temple complexes, mausoleum, parks and monuments have appeared in different parts of the world. Many of them amaze not only the spectacular appearance, intricate architecture and rare building materials, but also tell the story of our ancestors. The most mysterious and mystical buildings in the world will be discussed in this article.

Georgia Guidestone are a real message for descendants from modern humans. This unusual monument is located in the US state of the same name. The height of the granite tablets is 6 meters, and there are also 6 of them. On each side of the large plates in different languages the same thing is engraved: an instruction for those who survive the apocalypse and will revive civilization. Interestingly, in the center of the main plate there is a hole through which you can see a polar star at any time of the year. The monument was unveiled in 1980, but it is not known for certain who ordered it and for what purpose. Nevertheless, the tablets attract a lot of attention from tourists eager for various wonders.

No one knows how a stone of perfect square shape and weighing 600 tons ended up in the inaccessible region of Japan, surrounded by mountains. We are talking about the Heirloom stone, which was recognized as a national shrine in the Middle Ages. Next to the stone, a temple was then erected. In this huge monolith, the correct shape is impressive. How the Japanese managed to carve such a large stone of the right shape without specialized equipment and why they needed it remains a mystery to this day. Interestingly, during the construction period, they tried to separate a huge stone from the main mountain and made a dig, but it was not possible to finish the case. As a result, there was a depression under the stone, which is now filled with water, but thanks to it it seems that a giant stone square hung in the air.

Also an unusual architectural building is the ****** Shravanabelagola complex, which means monk standing on top of a hill. This temple complex is located in the city of the same name, in the state of Karnataka, and experts date it to the 10th century AD. Most of the temples and sculptural masterpieces of Shravanabelagol date from the period of the Western Ganges dynasty, who patronized Jainism. These ancient ****** kings ruled in Karnataka from the 4th to the 11th century.
Most of all in this temple complex, numerous columns strike view. They seem to be made of stone on a giant lathe. It is impossible to imagine how such a complex processing could be performed in the 10th century, albeit a highly developed, but still agrarian medieval civilization. It is impossible to make such architectural details with ideal geometry by hand, and traces of equipment that could have been used to process the stone with such precision have not yet been found.
In addition to the impressive columns, there is another interesting object near the town of Shravanabelagola. This is Gomateshwara - a stone statue of the Jain saint Bahubali more than 17 meters high. Today it is the tallest monolithic stone sculpture in the world. According to researchers, this statue, as well as the temple complex, was erected in the 10th century. From this text it follows that the Rajah from the Western Ganges dynasty donated funds for the sculpture and construction of the statue, and General Chamundaraya is called the manufacturer of the statue.
Every year, thousands of Jainism pilgrims visit Shravanabelagolu and the stone statue of Bahubali. And every 12 years, a grand festival of Mahamastakabhisheka is held here, ending with a ritual washing of a giant statue.
If you are lucky enough to get to the southwestern part of India, then be sure to visit Shravanabelagola, this is a very impressive place. In addition, it is quite easy to get here, as this route is very popular with tourists.
